Performance diplomatique à Vienne ou quand l’art et la politique se conjuguent…

Le 29 septembre, une nouvelle ambassade a été inaugurée en Autriche, à Vienne. « Et alors ? » me direz-vous ? Et bien cette ambassade inaugurée en grande pompe est celle du OneState, « un seul Etat », défini géographiquement par « ce qu’on nommait auparavant Israël et la Palestine ».

Ce sont deux artistes, Tal Adler et Osama Zatar (venant respectivement d’Israël et de Palestine mais vivant tous les deux à Vienne), qui sont à l’origine de cette performance diplomatique, filmée ici. Ils se sont proclamés ambassadeurs du OneState !

Le discours d’inauguration, dans une petite salle entourée de cartes du OneState, contenait le passage suivant :

« Art is the manifestation of human creativity. For us, art does not only reflects or depicts reality. (…) Art has the capability of showing new ways of thinking and proposing solutions. In this very special moment and important time, when the Two-States solution is being marketed as the most appropriate solution for the conflict in the Middle-East, we would like to plant another thought for a real sustainable existence. (…) We would like to promote sharing and coexistence. »

Ils ont alors tous les deux planté des graines, « arrosées d’eau et non de sang ».
